Denomination of origin
Subzone: Salnés Valley
Grape variety: Albariño
Processing: Lagar de Pintos 2010 comes from grapes harvested at their perfect degree of ripeness, hand picked from our own vineyards, which have an average age of 30 years.
For Lagar de Pintos, we use grape from our seven estates: Palomar, Gatiñeira, Requeixo, Cachadiña, La Escusa, Albar and Puente Arnelas.
Each of plot land is harvested separately (as occurs with its vinification, fermenting each type of grape in stainless steel tanks), by hand, in 20 kilo boxes. Grapes are soft pressed and, following a light debourbage, the must ferments spontaneously. After the alcohol content has fermented, the wine is left on the lees with weekly batonnage over a period of 6 months.
Then tanks are subject to coupage before being cleared and stabilized. Finally, the wine is bottled.
By looking after each process in detail, we set out to obtain top quality at all times, echoing the particular characteristics of each plot of land, extolling its personality.
Total production: 35,000 bottles.
A perfect wine for maturing in the bottle for a further three years.
Wine-tasting: Pale yellow, with golden reflections. An intense nose with a wealth of nuances: aniseed-flavoured herbs, citric pulp and white stone fruit. Powerful in the mouth, tasty, well balanced and very fresh. Excellent lee texture.
